Cinematic Arts Program
Building a bridge to a career in the arts
Bridgebuilder has worked to ensure students have equal access to education. Now, more than ever, the digital divide is affecting low-income families. As COVID-19 has forced learning to move from the classroom to online instruction, many households do not have adequate technology to support online access. Without basic computers and internet connectivity, these students will fall further behind.
This is a problem we can solve, but we need your assistance.
Bridgebuilder is partnering with United Way of Central Maryland to get students the devices they need to successfully complete the school year and bridge the digital divide long term.

Meet the Bridgebuilders
Bridgebuilder Cinematic Arts Program (BCAP) is a nonprofit founded in 2016 to introduce young women and men of color to careers in film and television.
With locations in New York City, Baltimore, and St. Louis, BCAP has managed to secure itself as a fully immersive summer program that teaches both hard and soft skills while providing a holistic approach to individual development.
We believe in creating an environment of learning where young minds are able to explore creative ways to tell their own stories.
The builder lifted his old gray head;
“Good friend, in the path I have come,” he said,
“There followed after me to-day
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This chasm that has been as naught to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be;
They, too, must cross in the twilight dim;
Good friend, I am building this bridge for them!
